A recent survey from CoreNet Global and Jones Lang LaSalle said 37 percent of respondents from around the world – corporate real estate executives responsible for office portfolio leasing – would consider paying a premium between 1 percent and 10 percent for sustainability if lower operating costs offset the expense, according to MBA NewsLink.

Starting this year, LEED is requiring all newly constructed buildings to provide energy and water bills for the first five years of operation as a condition for certification. The label could be rescinded if the data is not produced.
