    Title:
    New Ways of Collecting Debt
    Content:

A Boston Developer and president of First Capital Mortgage Group, has recently been charged with sending an "enforcer" to threaten and collect a $90,000 business debt from a local businessman.

Witnesses saw the enforcer take the mans $5,000 watch and demand the rest of his watch collection.

Now that is a different approach to debt collection.  And who says Chicago has anything on Boston for corruption?

Sure Chicago has nothing on Boston...

In any other place there wouldn't have been any witnesses...see

HA poor guy, although it might be a bit telling that he didn't have much business acumen if he was wearing 5,000 dollar watches but wasn't paying the bills.

True on the guy wearing the watch.

However, take a look at who has been on the FBI's most wanted list since 1995 (#2 in the world!) .... His brother was the president of the state senate for years and then the president of UMASS and now collects a huge pension ....

No - I am going with Boston all the way.

Boston does appear to have the creds :)  I had to look up the most wanted list.  You were talking about this Bulger guy right?  He looks like a bad man thats for sure, but I thought it was very touching how the FBI described his way of staying in shape.  Apparently he takes long walks on the beach with his lady friend.  He loves puppies too...  Is the FBI serious!!

I was just having fun with the "collector" apparently bungling his job...its so hard to find good help these days.

No the problem was the FBI wasn't serious!  Ask John 'Zip' Connolly, FBI "hander" for Whitey who is now serving a life term in FL for conspiracy to commit murder for Whitey.  See the movie "The Departed" - losely based on Whitey Bulger.

Tying back to due diligence - I know a Camp Dresser McKee (CDM) person, who on the tip of Kevin Weeks, was assigned to dig up a location that Whitey visited and left his work...

Numerous books written about this - all very interesting reads.

Many moons ago my employer provided assistance to the FBI by retaining excavating contractors under our EPA contract. Typically after the "bust" was made the newspapers and TV would report all about it and I would finally get the details. On one occassion we came to do borings and wells after the FBI had their fun and EPA's Emergency Response Contractor had been there to open and remove drums. I met the EPA's PM to get some information about the site and he proceeded to tell me about the body parts found in the drums.  August in NJ 1986? - I think they called the Pizza Shop bust, NJ, SI, and Brooklyn.
