Don’t leave these people hanging

In visiting the discussion forum area this morning, I couldn’t help but notice the questions members have thrown out to the community looking for advice and counsel -- with no takes on receiving feedback. Some matters are relative to projects happening right now – others are more long range. Either way, now is not the time to be modest people. If you have something you can share with anyone of these dangling inquisitors, please, share your knowledge. That’s ...

I logged on to the community pretty late tonight and was so excited about what I saw that I knew I had to share it with you. I mean this is the All Night Diner right? Good things can happen any hour of the day, that’s why we’re always open. That brings me to my story.
Member ag6ob has completely made my day. That’s it….and here’s why:
I don’t know if ag6ob is a male or female or where he or she works. ...

Maybe it’s time to rethink things

Members must either be feeling the pinch of the economy or just figuring out our community is the place to hash things out. I expect it’s a little of both.
In the last few days, several new posts are asking questions about the business of doing business. Could the stubbornly sluggish economy have prompted Member readude to consider revising his payment policy to secure partial payment up front? A hearty exchange between Member ccadalso and a few others is also ongo ...

This week you’ll find some of the big guns, like the ASTM Task Group, turning to commonground for input. Member bwenzlau shares that his group is in the midst of an interesting discussion on RECs and Continuing Obligations and he is reaching out, on the group's behalf, for your perspective.
Community members are catching on to what they can get by spending time on commonground. Answers! Information. Someone smart to run things by - ...

As we approach our two month anniversary of being up and running, our Blog Roll is heating up First, welcome to our newest blogger Joe Derhake who will examine the REC from every angle. There’s a Hole in This Story

It seems the hot topic in the community this week is what to do when there are gaps in your data. From member ag6ob, he wants to know when does a Data Gap cross the line and become “Significant”? That’s one question. From a different perspective, where do you look for historical information when you’ve exhausted all the obvious places? Member jimmyjohnson is hoping you’ll help him out.
And what about when you are looking for historica ...

So now we are on the far side of 1,000 members. Ring the bell! (We actually did ring the bell which sits in my office and is rung on any occasion that merits celebration of the audible kind.)
That said, there’ll be no sitting on our laurels. We’ve just added several new blogs, including one that’ll be our eyes and ears in the East – as in Far East -- and one with a legal point of view. Add to that, our EP Intelligence blog has b ...

I'm in Las Vegas this week learning how to serve you better. I know I mentioned in my last post that we would be tossing around ideas for commonground slogans for t-shirts and mugs and ways to win them and such, but now I’m thinking that’s not such a great idea. I’m with people from all over the country who are involved in online communities like this one have are meeting to share the best way places like commonground everything you need and want it to be. ...

There’s definitely lots of talking going on. People are telling their friends, membership is rising; posts are becoming more frequent and even more candid with every week that goes by. It’s all good.
And we’re listening to you too. We’re making changes you’ve asked for – last week we worked on increasing the speed of the site and eliminating the verification email you had to get through in order to log on after you first registered. It ...
